Who is eligible for this upgrade?
Primavera ProSight customers who are under current maintenance, or have maintenance that expired after July 1, 2008 are eligible to receive a free upgrade to Primavera ProSight (version 7.5).
Upgrade by Request:

"Optional Products" Delivery Information:
Optional Primavera ProSight (version 7.5) products are delivered, via ESD or CD, separately from the main Primavera ProSight product order. ProSight (version 7.5) must be installed before these add-on products can be installed.
Optional Primavera ProSight products include:
• Propose
• Optimize
• Bridge for Primavera P6 version 6.1
• Bridge for MS Project Server 2003/2007
• Bridge for Telelogic System Architect
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0:
With the release of ProSight 7,the ProSight application began using Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. If you are using a program or application that was developed using .NET Framework 1.1 and calls the ProSight COM API to communicate with ProSight, that part of the application will need to be recompiled to target the .NET Framework 2.0.
Alternatively, it is usually sufficient to force the existing executables to use the .NET Framework 2.0 instead of the native version of the .NET 1.1 Framework for which they were compiled using an application configuration file.
If your program or application only communicates with ProSight using the SOAP RPC or Web Services, then there is no issue and recompiling is not needed.
As a reminder, the utilities that work with the “Fast Track for CPIC Budgeting” were updated with the Primavera ProSight 7 release to work with the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework.
User License Information:
There are three types of licenses available with Primavera ProSight (version 7.5):
• Full Access
• Forms-only
• View-only
Once the upgrade is installed, use the Setup Users Wizard to assign the appropriate License Type for each user.
